Well it appears King Degsy has dipped into his pockets again and Leigh have signed Lee Smith, on a 2 year deal, I must say this is a decent signing for them and you have to admire King Degsy in some ways he is determined to get a decent team,I'm not sure how Smith will fit into the Salary Cap,but Degsy must be confident.
Leigh are certainly assembling a very good squad.No doubt Hokey will have plenty to say.

Good on him for finding a way around the cap I say. It needs someone like that to take advantage of the loop holes that SL teams have been using for years and im sure one or two SL teams will be looking on nervously this year as Leigh will no doubt look to improve their squad closer to the 8's.

Whilst it's good that he is looking to get parity with the SL teams I'm starting to feel he may be taking the proverbial with yet another what I'd say I'd biggish money signing. Smith should go well and covers off what appears to be a lack of real cover for MacNally.

Thats not bad for you

Spent the back end of last season at Wakey and then has been on trial all preseason at Hull who were still seemingly umm'ing and ahh'ing over whether to give him a permanent deal when we made an approach.

Doubt we have had to shell out big bucks to bring him in. He should be a solid addition and I am very happy with his signing but I doubt he cost all that much.

In playing terms I think he should go very well in the Championship although he has a lot to live up to as (presumably) a replacement for Gregg McNally who had a fantastic 2015.

sometimes when it's obviously put before you I admit to valuable signings whoever signs them , in the past I have give King Degsy a hard time, but would we have him at the Shay?You can bet your life we would,the man backs his judgement, wants the best for his Club and wears his heart on his sleeve.Degsy I applaud you.More Chairmen and Club Owners should wake up and smell the Coffee,I wish my Fax had a Degsy.

Over the years I've found myself warming to littlerich. The tonyfax days a thing of the past. It's not about who killed who or how many swamp castles we built and that sank. Now a case of go degsy go. In for a penny etc Ellery Hanley isn't signed yet. Drip drip drip go on degsy.

Rich have a word with yourself,whatever we think of King Degsy, the guy backs his judgement puts up his cash and is ready to out there and try to get who he can ,as does Koukash at Salford, it's alright you and others saying don't touch him with a bargepole,because we know he will NEVER come to Fax, the fact is he has signed this Squad at Leigh and I hate to say it but I'm envious, it's a quality side, I've heard all this over the hill talk, but Lee Smith is 29 years old of proven quality, how old is Simon Grix?Yet we raved about his signing,our Board at Fax seemingly don't want to spend the Central Funding cash, why?
It will also be very interesting to see how many Leighers are at Batley on Sunday,and again at Leigh's first home game,we at Fax would rave about a crowd of 2000 on Sunday,we seem to be ready to accept second best, I want first best, like him or lump him King Degsy would bring a very good playing squad to any Club, Rich don't squawk with malice as it gives sounds of very GREEN ENVY,I'm sure if King Degsy announced he was taking over at Fax most Fax fans would be excited.Answer me this how many games do YOU attend eachieve season?I rest my Case.

Norman try to keep pace McNally is out injured for what could be most of the season,this is my point Leigh have not sat on their Jacksys they have snapped up a replacement and will move on,that's why I'm saying we at Fax could fall behind,who is to say Simon Grix is fit ,and ready for the test of Championship Rugby he will go from a squad member to a star signing with plenty of expectation on his shoulders,I'm not sure he will be up to it.ARE YOU?
