He's a Cas lad, isn't he?

I heard him on the Saints podcast when he first started with us. He is very articulate with a nice voice that I enjoyed listening to again when I watched the match back.

He's doing very, very well for us. I remember a few Cas fans saying he was poor on defence but I have found him to be the total opposite. He's a demon tackler. I remember looking at the stats after the Leeds game: he made 22 tackles in that game (as opposed to Meli who made five). He seems really eager to get the ball and appears to know what to do with it when he gets it.

Based upon his performances so far I think he's been a good acquisition and I hope he is able to become more involved as the season progresses.

I think he's top player. I've always liked him from when he was young lad at cas playing in the league below.

He's got great feet, pace and solid in defence.

I should point out that there are a few people in Yorkshire who can articulate properly, as there are here in 'tellins

As for shenton hes doing a great job, and as he builds an understanding with the players either side of him this will only get better

He's top quality Shenton. His defence in particular is extremely good and he's happy to make 20+ tackles per game.

5 tries so far and he's not seen a great deal of ball. That's a good return.

He finished his try extremely well on friday and really showed George up when he put Ade in.
Top player.

He's shown a couple of times what he can do when he gets service. Something we need to think about.

But on top of that, his D is superb.

Shinton is rubbish.

Just think Shenton is no gud, we have Evans, Atkins, King and Bridge all lots better than Shenton.

Any cas fans that said his defence was poor dont know what they are talking about, been fantastic in defence for us over the years, glad he has settled well, always be one of my favourite players.

When we played HKR t'other week, Welham was being marked by young Gaskell and was causing him all sorts of bother. Late in the 1st half, we turned the ball over in their half and they quickly spread it wide to Welham who was 1 on 1 with Shents qith plenty of space either side - as soon as he got the ball, Shenton had the whole situation under control with 0% of Welham causing any bother.
