Will be interesting to see how fans behave when told they are being kicked out of SL with a number of games still to play. Will there be violence? pitch invasions? Mass protests? or will they take it meekly and go into the nether with no complaint? I am guessing SKY won't dare show a home game of the banished team after the decision!

Generally if your team is poor and doesn't win enough games you can take being relegated and take the frustration out on your own players and coach for not performing. This time though fans will probably not agree that they are not worthy of a place based on some suits judgement at RFL and will probably disagree that Widnes offer any more as a SL club than they do. So I wonder how that will play out on the terraces?

Of course if they relegate Quins it is a mute point as no one will give a cr4p anyway!

In all honesty I think, short of a few signings, Trinity will be there or there abouts at the bottom of the table anyhow. It’s ironic that this season is the one to see them fall back to bottom of the table material after a few decent seasons (not withstanding last season’s second half collapse) so the furore won’t be anything like if they were suiting pretty in forth (as per 2 years ago).

Most of us knew it was down to the stadium and indeed said at the time of the first license decision that if it isn’t sorted by 2012 then Trinity will be out. Had Oakwell still been on the agenda it may have made things a little more difficult for the RFL, however, they have advised Trinity that they do not think it would be the best option to take for the club. While they may be right in respect of crowds would dip etc, it seems strange that they have taken such a stance with Trinity and not St Helens, and ultimately it would make their decision in July a little easier, especially with the news that Castleford won’t be in their new stadium for 2012 either.

As it is I support Trinity and will do which ever division they are in. The club have sailed close to the wind during their existence in SL in the P&R years but managed to survive. Personally, I don’t think they are going to get out of this one though.

You ought to work for the SUN, then you could catastrophise every story. If it is wakefield i am expecting armed mobs attacking Castleford and burning it to the ground. Maybe Civil War in the calder valley

The most frustrating thing will be the size of the fans reaction. If it's Wakey, they'll probably be 10,000 Wakey fans protesting. If those 10,000 had been regular attendees, Wakey wouldn't be in the mess they're in.

Don't think it will happen myself. The RFL haven't got the balls to kick anyone out I think they will put Halifax up. Having said that I think that is the best option.

Personally, I think Wakey will get the boot. Fax will be denied and the RFL will ignore Crusaders going bust, finishing bottom and youth developement being getting Gareth Thomas to convert from Union and keep them in as they expand the game by 26 miles

The fans will react by continuing to support their respective clubs and shaking their heads at the bewildering ideas thought up by our governing body
