Just watched the Saints Wire game on Sky Plus, i know we've sold our souls to Sky, but im not sure that allows a commentator to tell a Super League player to stop talking nonensense when Lee Briers had a pop about only having 4 days off till the Wigan game.
What is nonsense is a media mouthpiece having a pop or even some say in how we run this game.
Plus it was clearly a joke, Eddy needs to avoid being a Victor Meldrew in his final years on telly.

He hardly spat the words at him. He was just correcting the idea that Sky Sports were responsible for Warrington only having a four day turnaround. As an employee of Sky Sports it is his job to ensure that they are not cast in a bad light by interviewees, particularly if they are mistaken about the facts.

Eddie certainly had his redvee tinted specs on watching the game.

Didn't watch the last 20 minutes or so of the match. What was actually said in the interview? I can't believe Eddie would say anything wrong of Briers he normally licks his boots clean so much that he has had confirmed Cherry Blossom poisoning on more than one occasion!

IIRC all Eddie did was correct Briers on the fact that it's five day's between matches. Not the four that Briers had stated.

it's Stevo who is in love with Briers, not Eddie! everytime he kicks the ball upfield - 'wonderful kick, Briers is just controlling things out there'

one of my pet peeves with Eddie that one. The instant that certain players kick the ball Eddie states "(insert players name) with a great kick" The ball hasn't even left the guys boot laces, so how he knows its gonna end up being 'great' is beyond me.
