| From the outside looking in, and considering what happened to Leigh initially at LSV and now Salford, do Cas and Wakey fans now think it's a safer bet to share a new stadium?
I'm interested to know what you think now and if people who were a huge NO, are now thinking it could be common sense?
After all your own clubs stability is more important than your rivals instability. And in a funny way rivals need each other.

| No.
A groundshare may have been good had it been planned 5-10 years ago.
Both clubs have done too much work in their respective new stadia plans and, in Cas's case, they've invested a hell of a lot of money into the project to turn back now. We have to wait and see what happens with the supermarket situation but if that doesn't go ahead then we're tarting up WR.
There's no use trying to push a groundshare at each other' respective proposed new stadium because Cas don't want to go to Newmarket and Wakefield wouldn't want to come to Glasshoughton.

No, why should we. Both clubs already get 7k plus a season playing out of sheds so I don't see a Leigh or Salford issue arising, support would only increase for both in new stadiums. If both clubs shared Newmarket it would spell the end of one - as the cards are stacked at the moment that would be Cas which is no use to Wakey let alone Cas or SL.
Also Cas don't have to move, WR could be redeveloped or once NM becomes a reality all efforts in WMDC can be concentrated on Glasshoughton which is still viable. BV no longer can for many reasons. Why would Cas lose everything to be a secondary tenant - why have two blurred teams in one stadium which no one wants when you could have two vibrant clubs in their own stadiums - think big think positive - that is your precious common sense?
There are very very few folk who support either club who want this, certainly nowhere near enough to drive it forward - if that changes we will let you know.

| Like I said, i'm on the outside looking in, didn't mean to cause anger. If both clubs can make new stadia work then i'm all for it.

No anger from me, it's an easy mistake to make.
From the outside there is some logic, but when did logic ever play a part in a tribal sport such as ours
It probably should happen but I don't think it will because I don't think enough people would want to make it work - without that consensus failure is certain.

Tbf, Salford's gates have increased since thier move to their new ground (apart from the game that was played at Leigh) and if they can find some form next season then their support should continue to improve.
As far as a groundshare between Wakefield and Cas, it's a NO from me.
I think that if they were to share, over a period of time, pressure would be put on both clubs to merge.
There has been enough merger talk over the years and with a likely reduction in SL numbers for 2015, can you imagine what would be said if they were playing out of the same ground.
Finally, the geographic positions of each clubs' planned new ground means that many fans (of both clubs) would not wish to see their own club playing in their rivals ground.

| Listen, there's no need. These two stadiums are set in stone so don't you worry. I've seen sketch after sketch regarding these bad boys and we've got waterparks, theme parks, zoos and revolving restaurants attached to them. They are set in stone. Golden. About to start any day now.
Any day...now. Honest.

Never mind Whelden Road and Belle Vue, what about the iconic national treasure that is Odsal ?
Maybe the All New Bulls could groundshare at Headingley or Huddersfield ?

| No longer an issue, since being ' Iconic ' became more important than clean toilets and unobstructed views both BV and WR are fine for another 50 years

| it would all end up in tears, for the first year or so it might work, but if the support dropped like some fans think it will, the RFL will put presser on and the M, word will materialize again and the same thing what happened with Hull, & Gateshead, & the Giants & Eagles, will happen again one name will be dropped, and i would not want that to happen to Cas or Waky, so hopefully Newmarket will get built, and Cas get a new ground, or re-develop Welden Road, we might not have the new shiny tin at WR, but we do own the ground, we don't lodge, at a football ground or have to pay more than we bring in to the club in rent, there is only one big shat hole in the SL and thats the iconic land fill called Odsel
