Awful game. Sorry but for an England captain, tonight's performance wasn't good enough. Leeds fans might say it's one game, but that was an acid test for Sinfield and he just didn't show up. He didn't control the team at all. He hardly kicked the ball all night, missed a fair few tackles and was absolutely appalling in attacking. He created nothing and controlled nothing. McNamara should really take note as this is the standard Sinfield will be going up against in the WC.

Did he play?

It wasn't an awful game, it was a great game. Close with lots of close calls. Leeds blew their chances when Robert Burrow dropped the ball after a sensational break by superstar in the making Kallum Watkins.

As regards Sinfield, he is obviously the most overrated player in the world. The Golden Boot board members who voted for him have shown themselves to be completely incompetent. He is not anywhere near the quality player that Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith are.

I meant Sinfield had an awful game. The game itself was good, just seemed to lack something. Last years WCC between Manly & Leeds was better IMHO. They battered each other for 80 minutes.

I thought the game was just as good as last year.

It lacked match practice for the Storm they do not start their season for another 2 weeks.

I think that Cronk and Smith just controlled the game better with kicking and slowing things down at the play of the ball down when they started to tire ie one up plays then kick

Yeah that why the NRL's best team Melbourne apparently had someone wearing a Sinfield shirt on in training to practise for him..........cos he's so bloody useless!

ok, not his best game ever,but IMO he was playing behind a beaten pack in the most part (JP and Kylie aside).He had a hand in both Leeds tries,kicked all his goals as usual and went about his business in an efficent way as he always does.He was certainly better than Widdop who made several errors.

He is not going to rip through teams like Tomkins,Slater,Barba etc..this has been stated many times before.

The best team won tonight,no doubt about it.But people who are still bitter about KS winning the Golden Boot and using it as a stick to beat him with when he doesn't produce some Wally Lewis like magic are very sad IMO.

Sinfield is slower than Wellens IMHO.

I'm not bitter about him winning the golden boot. I haven't even mentioned it. What i'm saying is it was a tight game, he wasn't behind a beaten pack, otherwise Leeds would have been hammered. That's just an excuse. Leeds finished their sets in about the same place as Melbourne, it was a fairly even game. Where the the dominating kicks? Why didn't he control the team and push them round the pitch?

I'm simply concerned as an England fan that our captain produced nothing in a WCC final. He's the stand-off, he's meant to create.
