he made a comment when the score was 0-0 about hull kr having virtually no chance to compete with wigan, 25 minutes later the score is 4-10 and clarkey is very quiet.
It might just be me but I thought it was a very arrogant an disrespectful comment, hull kr, as are most teams, perfectly capable of competing with wigan, and they proved that, only 2 shocking calls got wigan back into the game.
I appreciate he his wigan through and through, but surely he should try and remain neutral when working for sky and not come out with stuff like this?

These are words used to describe many people.....but not phil clarke.

His comments were tremendously arrogant and his wigan bias shines through in his commentarys, every situation he twists into a positive for wigan.

His ''opinion'' just happens to be massively pro wigan, regardless of the situation.

but by saying that wigan's opponents shouldn't be able to compete with them is, IMO, arrogant and disrespectful and surely sends out a message that this game was going to be so one sided that only wigan fans would want to watch the oncoming massacre.

Except he didn't actually say that. Biased he sure is, but he didn't say KR had no chance, what he said if they keep Wigan under 20 they have a great chance at winning and he was right, they did have a great chance and kept Wigan under 20 nearly all game.

I used to like Phil Clarke too; IMO he's just generally a little disillusioned with the sport in England, he's changed in the last 2 years, but maybe it's me.

I don't mind him being pro-Wigan, and the OP has done a Daily Star on what was actually said.

The main problem is he talks avsolute garbage.

The "welcome" he receives as he walks across the pitch to the South Stand to get to the commentary level is always warm & friendly....
