how about this as an idea the next home game on sky
i make all players hankies with our crest on and somthing like HELP SAVE LEIGH, JOIN L.I.S.A ,YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU somthing along them lines
so when we come out of the tunnel all with hankies on we would get publicity also give the commentaters one to show the world on sky
then our boys can go over to the north stand and throw them in the crowd
good publicity for our club and mentioned on sky

you want the players to run out on live tv with hankies on their heads... is that really the mindset we want them in for a cup final?

the saying is any publicity is good publicity!

maybe put the number for that player and have them sighn it for a keep sake for fans

Moggie, I think its a good idea but as the previous poster said maybe hand them the Hankies if we win the game. All players are usually handed scarfs and flags etc on winning this happens in most sports so them handed these Hankies could well be (like you said) really good cheap publicity. Just make sure they are handed out pre sky interviews with MOM, Coach and Captain and make them aware of what they are advertising. Good luck

a slight alteration on the idea, if the cost would be similar, would it not be better to see if players would agree to wearing a t-shirt beneath their game shirt? then at FT, game shirts off, t-shirts promoting LISA revealed? or even something as simple as getting the odd player to write on their tie-ups and strapping? All this does seem an obscure idea to me, but, it is our best means of publicity, only very rarely are we on national television, and i feel that although something like this would be difficult to pull off, it is in theory a good idea.

how about the players each walk out onto the field holding the hand of a young mascot wearing an appropriate T-shirt. Mascots get to keep the shirt and the experience of it all, players get minimal distraction, it gets seen on sky and gets great feel good publicity. Could even ask for a donation for LISA/club from parents/sponsor of each mascot
