Is he just a bad ref or do yuo think he makes up the rules as he goes along?

Don't think he likes us but some decisions today were bizarre

I don't think there was too much to complain about.

Apart from the 30+ pens he gave, didn't let the game flow and made the game a horrible spectical.

out of interest does anybody know the penalty count. . His performance nearly ruined the game but our boys kept their cool and showed that we were definitely the better team today. It just annoyed me when bentham tried to be the centre of attention

Granted one or two decisions were questionable but he isn't the one commiting the fouls/infringements. He can only do so much, and the majority of the penalties were justified. He can't make the game a spectical if one side want to persistantly slow down and mess around in the tackle.

Another inept display from Bentham, thought he allowed them to get away with far too much. Having said that we were guilty of some stupid indicipline which the ref had no alternative but to penalise us.

not one to get involved in ref baiting as i think it comes back to haunt you, however he cant have much left for ears after sam o bent them all the second half!

2 decisions i didn't understand ; warning a catalan player,then giving em a penalty, and them layin on korky and when he riggled gave catalans another penalty, i think laying on does slow the game down but the ammount of pens in a game has the potential to ruin it as a spectacle

Ok so we witnessed a questionable refereeing performance. This is Super League, let's get used to it!

What we need are cuter players. There were too many occasions where our player’s actions made it too easy for the ref to penalise. Been a problem throughout JK's reign.

Not one to bash the ref's but I thought he was awful today!!

i couldnt understand how in the first half we where on there line all we needed was a quick pass along the line for a certain try to which we tried only for a catalen arm to come out and knock the ball forward to on trying to regather we knocked but he gave them head in scrum.i also thought king was obstructed for ther third try

We currently have the worst referees in the game that I can remember!

What’s bizarre is that the standard of officiating has fallen since they went full time. The only explanation I can come up with is that they are over analysing the rules and applying them in such a way that it actually runs against the natural flow of the game.

They have too much time to drill down on particular rules which might sound good in a classroom but don't actually work in a real game but they can't see it and they won't be told! They also seem intent on displaying their encyclopaedic knowledge of the games rule book irrespective of whether it ruins the game as a spectacle.

There are too many pedantic performances that just emphasise how out of sync the refs are with the playing and coaching staff. It just portrays decision makers like Cummins and his refs as blokes who have never really played the game and don't have any understanding of the mechanics that come into play during a game. They don't seem to understand the nature of being a player at this level and seem to apply no common sense to some of their decision making.

Regarding Bentham today, he was awful! As has already been said he went close to switching me off from watching games if this is the type of display that we're going to get from the officials. Some of his penalties were just baffling, penalising King for laying on when he jumped off the ball carrier so quick he looked like he'd had an electric shock, the knees into Mortons back which went unpunished, the forearm into Johnsons face also unpunished, the penalty against Korki and so on .......

We won the game but the ref was poor and went close to spoiling the game with his performance.
