I would play him today. Mathers is too slow and matty Russell will have a field day like Escare last week. If not at least swap for Sykes. Got to be a spot this week for the Maltese falcon!

I have a feeling he will feature as replacement hooker, personally I'd play Wildie.

Also saw no evidence he was all that quick. Where as Mathers actually seems quicker than he ever was in recent games. From what I have seen Sammutt is quick over 30 meters but hasn't got 90 meters in him or at least not this season. This makes him no more useful at FB than Mathers who can also just about manage a spritely 30 meters. In the halves however that agile 30 meters is very useful.

You and Agar have a lot more in common if you think Sammut is a better FB than Mathers.

I hope the players realise that even though we are safe they still need to put the effort in.

Smith had his best game of the season according to those who were there and the commentators, maybe Sammut is the right partner for him.

Sammut was very good today. Rather than playing his usual dynamic maverick role he played to the game plan and let smith control the game. He also tackled his heart out like the rest of the side. Great effort from every one of them today, we must have held them up over the line four or five times.

Good as the attack was, for 40 points, the defence and overall team effort won the day.

The change in attitude from the whole team (last week aside) is astounding since Agar was sacked. I keep saying it but 3 months ago, every set warrington had from 10 metres out they would have scored 90% of the time. Today we held them out on more than 1 occasion where they had 3+ sets on our line. This is a difference in attitude, not much else.
