| I seem to remember a big announcement about season passes for the Vikings after your elevation back to SL recently?
Was it a similar deal to what Bradford were offering? Has there been an update on the uptake of the promotion yet? What kind of average do you envisage for your return?

| Widnes should put adult ticket sales to £10 and £5 concession.
This will help get more fans back in and will slowly rebuild what they have missed out on in the so many years being without super league.
just a thought though!

| Weekly crowds are up by about 600 just from it so not bad! However a lot will still be waiting for SL as it's a pay monthly thing and some still don't want to pay for Championship rugby (& this off season).
Tonys_triumphs we have to balance the books like everyone else mate and £20 a ticket will still be at the bottom end of SL prices and with good facilities too (see Wakey & Salford charging more now).

| I see what you mean,
just trying to think of an idea where clubs can get the fans in on a weekly basis and keep that high number flowing through the season.
Think how bradford was bubbling with fans years back and now there fading away, but then again its like warrington a few years back not being able to fill the ground now they are talking about exstentions and bulding on what they have already.
I understand teams have there way of doing things and everyone is after the same out come.

| I'm told attendance tonight was announced as 3,300.
For a weekday game that was televised with few travelling supporters this looks quite good.

| The club want 7,000 members, but I reckon crowds will average about 6,000-7,000 to begin with (we were at 7,000 last time in SL).
For the big local games, we should get 7,000-8,000 no problem, but I think the games against Quins + Catalans etc will probably only get 5,000. With Widnes not performing that great for some time now, I think a lot of people won't return until we're actually playing in SL and competing against the bigger clubs. A couple of high profile signings would give the membership no's a bit of a lift IMO.

3,331... Good turnout and there was plenty to shout about last night too.

You'll do better than that. Saints, Wigan, and Wire should all be sellouts, or close to it. You should get a minimum of 6,000 for all other games. You will average well over 8,000.

Doubt the big games will sell-out but they will certainly be 10k+ with the amount of travelling support.
The first Widnes v Wire game might be a sell-out because the derby has not been played for quite a few years...

| I can see Widnes being close to selling out against teams like Wire,Wigan,Saints,Leeds,
Its a nice compact stadium which keeps the atmosphere and is a decent enough sized ground for all fans to watch their team in.

| Hope you are right - our highest crowd in SL last time was just short of 10K with an average of 7k.
There is certainly the potential there for Widnes to do better, but just not sure if the general public in Widnes are buying into it just yet. Widnes fans have had quite a few years of disappointment on the pitch and I think a lot of people need to be won over by the club with big signings etc. Since the licence announcement things have been very low key and I don't think we'll get a good picture of what our likely crowds will until people get a idea of how strong we'll be. IMO the ball is very much in the club's court.
