Can any one help, my daughter is trying to find past team/shirt logo's for the Wire. She is doing a project for her Media Diploma and is trying to research Warrington's past logo's to try and develop her own. After spending hours on the internet we've come accross nothing......she has a feeling that they had a crest at one point and was possibly the crest of Warrington Town Hall?????

there was also the wolf surrounded by barbed wire (the wolf off the town coat of arms) circa early 90s, i also seem to remember a logo which was a rugby ball and some lightning flashes with "wires" written underneath from the late 80s and i also know that during one imaginative era we had nothing but a big W!!

I know the barbed Wire one, just couldn't find a pic of it, I'm sure Yed has a pic though.

That was on the 1990 Wembley shirt, the lightning flash one was from the Spartomatic sponsorship era in the 1980's, and the wolf's head surrounded by barbed wire was developed by Paul Cullen in the early 1990's.

great knowledge teesside, the lightning was also on the vladivar sponsored kits which i think came just after sparkomatic and were proudly worn by my all time favourite player paul bishop, used to love his diving pass from a scrum

I've still got a Sparkomatic one and the 1990 Wembley one. I was intending to wear the 1990 one at the 2009 Final, but it must have shrunk a bit over the years. When I put it on, it felt like someone 3 stone lighter should be wearing it. The 'W' logo on the shirts appeared in Murphy's first season.
