| Ok, so Widnes were shocking but;
Is there a better winger in SL than Josh Charnley?

| Better than Briscoe at the moment, Charnley and Hall shoe in for England.

I'd take Briscoe over Charnley (not just because he looks less like a ). He goes looking for more work off his wing and is a more creative player for setting up others.

| As a finisher, I don't think there is anyone better. You just knew he'd finish off those chances yesterday. He's quick, but his footwork is excellent as well. There are times you can get at him defensively but that goes for most wingers. Also, I don't think he takes life, or himself, too seriously as witnessed when he was getting dogs abuse when we played them the other week.
If I was Wigan, I'd time the "news" about Tomkins leaving with Charnley signing a new deal if I could.

He looks for more work then Charnley? He'd have to go some because Charnley is one of the most hard working wingers I've seen helping out his forwards consistently. On this seasons form Briscoe is nowhere near even being the best wing at Hull.
Charnley has actually been a bit up and down for us but he's a big game player and to be say on 32 try's already is a stunning effort.

| Charnley is afforded a lot of room because of Wigans patterns, this helps him with his try total, i wouldn't use that for comparison as i think Briscoe would do just as well playing for Wigan. I just think after watching him, he looks more dangerous with one or two players still left to beat, he edges it for me, but i'd still have Briscoe as the back up for the WC.

| He's brilliant. Hall, Monaghan, Briscoe, and Charnley are all excellent. I would happily take any of them. Tom Lineham too. Carney at Cas is good too if a house.

| I do think that in the Wigan team Briscoe would be every bit as good as Charnley.
What is nice is the fact that people can have a discussion about what seem to be 3/4 good quality English players. A couple of seasons ago Goulding was playing on the wing for England.

| Englands only real problem come the world cup is 6&7, i think we have some genuine talent in the outside backs, our fullback, ok i suppose Our forwards are imo better than the Aussie ones.
Were the Aussies have us is having probably the two most important positions covered with real quality, we'll have Chase and Sinfield.

Centre too I'd say. We've no one who offers more than a big lump with some pace. Also our Hookers aren't up to Aussie standards, but then when they've got a couple of the best players in the world you're bound to be second best somewhere.
