| Could be a good opportunity for us.
Carney is a good player and would be a better halfback than you would find in the rest of SL. We need some real class to replace Briers and nowadays these type of top Aussie aren't available as much as they used to be.
Yes maybe he is a bit of a bogun but as long as he doesn't let himself get distracted away from his form on the field he could be an asset. Both Les Boyd and Joel Monaghan left Australia in disgrace and were great signings for us.

Didn't he turn down the invitation not that long ago? Don't think there's much of a queue for people warning to work with Stuart.

A successful career on the stand-up circuit awaits you. I'm sure of it.
Can you now come up with a Suarez joke referencing bite'ing in some way ?

| You can't compare Carney to Joel in any way. Joel made one big mistake after a trouble free career. Carney has gone from disaster to disaster and has caused trouble wherever he's gone. There is a good possibilitythat, if he does try to come here, that he won't get a visa. Mind you, with Wigan being short of a 6 for next year it would be interesting to see their fans reaction if they signed him, bearing in mind some of the things they posted on here after Joel signed for us.

| Carney's problem is the Sydney drinking 'it' boys and girls scene. When he left Sydney Roosters it should have been a move away from the social group he kept. But he switched clubs down to the south of Sydney in Cronulla so probably didn't even have to move house and most likely kept the same social group. So his drinking antics continued.
A move over here, especially up North, may well do him the world of good. There are no big cities up here. Just Manchester which is a small city and then very small cities like Liverpool and Leeds. There aren't the social scenes in these cities like a big city like Sydney or London.
The thing is, he's a cracking player and I'd love to see him in SL, and I'd really lie to see him at Wire! He's surely worth taking a chance on?
Will be interesting to see what happens...
