I have come away today with mixed emotions, the way we defended left me feeling proud of the lads.
After Stanton and Armistead both going off early in the game we were left with a squad of 15 and then Hobson being sent off(i didnt see what happened)we were left with one substitute and to defend the way we did was brilliant, we also had Stewart sin binned and this is when Fev got on Top. I thought we were unlucky not to score more in the first half.The lads out there played with pride and can hold there heads high.

Then there is the T!t in the middle with the whistle who has left me fuming, i really dont think i have ever seen a more one sided ref in my life of watching rugby. He was so quick to blow for there penalties for us lying on but he was letting them flop and lie on as long as they wanted, i dont recall Fev once having to work the ball away from there line without getting a penalty, i am sure someone from the club will be putting a report in on J. Child, i hope i never see this to$$er ref another match

I am as biased a fev fan you will ever get but i must admit i thought Leigh were the better side tonight and we were very lucky

I wasn't going to post anything tonight, but I have to say that that was one of the best Leigh performances Ive seen in a long time - play like that for the rest of the season and we could be talking about winning the league.

Immensely proud of the effort, defensive scrambling and general team spirit with no shortage of skill.

One negative - Hobson is a liability.

well i was going to go straight to bed, but i just had to write down how dsamned proud i am today of my team, lads you were awesome tonight, not for a long time have i seen a leigh team defend with such pride, passion and committment. NK seems to have developed a wonderful team spirit, would love to the stats from the game, as they had tones of possesion, and we defended loike our lifes depended upon it, a for the ref, well one of my pet hates is people sklagging refs off, but god almighty that guy was a shocker, absolutely rubbish, i know who will be the happier of the coaches as far as the rest of the season looks, if we play with that never say die backs to thge wall spirit, we won't go far wrong, as for those who decided not to go, wll your boys did you produ and you missed a great leyther display, right off to bed, awesome lads.

Thought the lads were awesome tonight - don't remember the last time I saw a Leigh side work as hard as that, and I'm proud of every single one of 'em. You'd be hard pressed to find any leyther that went tonight that will say that performance wasn't worth every penny they paid to get there & get in. Personal highlights were Durbin & Higson, but difficult to single players out.

I don't like blaming refs for defeats - we all know there are some bad ones but normally I'd say if we were good enough we'd be able to win even without the ref. However, tonight it's difficult not to feel he cost us dear.

And personally I didn't see Hobson's offence, but prior to the sending off he'd been just as much a part of the good performance as anybody, and we sure as hell missed him after he'd gone (same with Stewart's sinbin). But to single anybody out is unfair after seeing us defend as a team as doggedly as we did

I'll happily watch us get beat every week if it's by a better side, but tonight IMHO Fev didn't deserve to win that game and we didn't deserve to lose it. No disrespect to Fev, Harris didn't even seem to have turned up but they made the numerical advantage count (eventually). I'm just gutted for our lads at losing that one after they grafted and defended so well.

I don't think I can ever remember any side getting such a good reception from their fans as the lads got at the end of the game tonight. Terrific defensive performance and Fev only won it when we had 11 men on the field.

Had Hobson, up to that point playing very well, not had a brain fart then I think we might have won by a comfortable 10 points or so.

Hugely proud of those 16 lads tonight.

Wasnt just Leigh fans staying to applaud them, all the Fev fans near me did the same, boy were they nervous when Hill and Higson nearly pinched it

Yes the chance we had near the end , the one when ' Cooky ' broke through but had no support



Not a criticism of the other players they had ran themselves to death in defence , but I was once again baffled by Niel's use of subs



A bit poinless having your biggest prop on the bench when playing down a slope when you are men down and are unlikely to go round the opposition

What was needed was a line breaker through the middle , I look forward to watching the DVD
