It had everything poor ref, poor discipline at times from Leigh Rochdale where aloud to move up very quick snuffling out any chance that Leigh could move the ball out that daft ref needs to get to specsavers the forward passes thrown out from Dale where crazy how on earth he could,nt seen them when everyone else could beggars belief.
Both sides played at times some great rugby with defence paramount Ryan Brieleys try was outa the top draw pure pace terrific well Fev next round and to be honest Leigh will have to move up several gears to beat Fev in my opinion not bad tho playing poor and still winning

One problem with playing poor and winning is that deficiencies get forgotten.....until you get an absolute tonking. Everyone we have played up to now has been in the bottom half of the table. If we can win 3 of Fax Fev Dews and Sheffield then its time to believe the hype.

at 18-0 up, and 28-10 we should have won easy. But (asides from lots of mistakes/penalties) credit to Rochdale, don't know when they're beat.

Forward passes in the build up to all tries apart from the kick-off try

We HAVE to improve big time to stand any chance of beating Fax next week , granted the Hairnets slung a few forward passes out today , but some of our defending was woeful ,Ryans try was top class and I thought Higgy ran hard ,as did Spenner , Emmit and Wilkes , Penky made more yards than Bob B ,but at 18-0 up and coasting to scrape a result is not the way to go into next weeks game .

We have some very hard games coming up , I just hope we can learn and progress , a good following of Leythers as usual .

I think we had our fair share of forward passes but ours weren't right in front of the officials. What I really don't like, and it is creeping into our game more and more, is feigning a penalty or blow. The Rochdale No9 should (a) ashamed of himself and (b) be taken into the disciplinary board. The yellow for Littler was a joke. The player through himself on the floor when the idiot wasn't looking. I think that that is our cup run over after what I have seen again today and 4th spot is the best we can hope for playing like that. Like my school report used to say. Needs to knuckle down and try harder if his results are going to improve. Before you say "results?", we haven't played anyone of any stature yet.

Stop switching off when we get a couple of tries ahead and we'll be reet. Glad to get the win but I'm sure Rowley will be flogging them in training for the amount of daft errors, soft penalties and sheer lapses in concentration.

There is no 'hype' coming from the dressing room or coaches, all other 'hype' should be disregarded.

Even I saw the elbow Acton took from 70 yards away. Players are getting away with lifting the elbow of the ball carrying arm, making it look like they are defending the ball. Jamie's technique needs to be looked at but if the officials give so much protection to attacking players then why can't the defenders get the same. The way the laws of this game have evolved make the ruck as unsightly as contested scrums. The ambiguity of the decisions makes a mockery of the sport. Go on Facebook and there is a site with clips of old games and the play the ball is much quicker and cleaner. Maybe a reason why the crowds are dropping.
