From the fixtures below, what do people think will happen.

I know everyone is generally down at the moment, but rather than just go "We'll lose them all" have a think about our inconsistent form this year. We may spring a surprise or 2.

Sat 08 Aug - Warrington Wolves - Away (Challenge Cup)
Fri 14 Aug - Warrington Wolves - Home
Sun 23 Aug - Castleford Tigers - Away
Fri 04 Sep - Hull FC - Home
Sun 13 Sep - Huddersfield Giants - Away

Personally I can see us beating Catalan, Castleford and Hull. Bradford is a possibility although it depends which Bradford turn up and Huddersfield is a possibilty depending on what they'll need to do and what team they'll field depending on their league position at the time.

I don't think we'll beat Warrington in the CC.

I can't see us losing too many. IMO we will lose against HKR, one of the Leeds/Saints games and one of the last 3. Will finish 5th or 6th. Nothing much has changed since the Celtic defeat.

We'll do well to beat 'Quins. They looked pretty useful against KR, they are a proper team, with proper team spirit.

This is Wigan so god knows what will happen.........well to be fair we do, we'll win some you'd think we'd lose, we'll lose some you'd expect us to win and we'll continue to frustrate!

It's only really the Cats and Hull games that I'm anywhere near confident of winning.

I don't doubt that we'll go a Noble esque decent-ish run at the end of the year and finish in the 8. We may even get to the Cup Final where anything can happen but even if we win the trophy AND get to Old Trafford now I don't think a new deal for Noble can be justified given Wigan's appalling inconsistency.

Beat Stains & Leeds.

Lose the rest.

If Noble is in charge for all those games i would go with-

Beat Harlequins and Catalans

Lose against Bradford, Leeds & Saints

Win one of the Warrington games (i also feel we will lose the semi)

Lose away to Cas

Beat Hull at home

Lose away to Hudds

Thats pretty much how we have been going over the last two years and i see no reason for change. However if Noble and his chums are dispatched i would expect a few of those loses to change to wins and would feel a lot more confident about the semi final.

The only games I'm bothered about are Stains away and the Cup Semi, so we will probably get tw*tted in both of them, win the rest and scrape into the playoffs.

New contract for Nobby

s an outsider looking in the ones i think you will win are in bold. Should be plenty enough to get u in to the play offs.

Agreed

May win some, may lose some - quite frankly not too bothered either way,
which for someone who has been following the club since the early 70s is a sad state of affairs.

Until there is a major shake up at the club I am ceasing to really care any more - I have other things that are more important and interesting.


As for predicting wins and loses - roll a dice becasue the inconsistency of this team means anything could happen.
