He just keeps digging his hole on twitter hes making a complete joke of himself.

It was brilliant how he posted pictures of tiny scratches on his knees from the ipitch, then Matty Ashurst put THAT picture on of his knees after playing in the snow in Salford. Making him look soft as fek.

He wants to try playing on the ash ridden pitch at Rose bridge. You used to wince for days after with grazes all over your body.

Whatever you opinion is of Mathers or Bitter - At least they use twitter to express an opinion. Not like most of our players who only use Twitter to tweet at each other and talk about bloody Nandos!

Time will tell whether Mathes has a point. Let's see what other teams say about it. The biggest thing will be Widnes' injury record I think. Thats a truer test of that pitch.

The way some have been complaining you would think that Widnes players are immune and they will not suffer the same injuries as anyone else. Not taking into account that they play on it every other week and train on it all the time.

Apparantley only one player complained from the Widnes - Wakefield game. Wakefield did NOT make an official complaint about the pitch and the RFL commissioner did not see any reason to mention the pitch in his report. It was on sky sports news about it last night.

Dennis Betts said something like there had been 4 training sessions on it since Friday night with no problems. Andy Farrell was asked about it too and he said it all part of the game and he seen a lot worse in winter rugby.

Steffan Marsh described it as 'not the best' on twitter but then who's pitch is at this time of year?

Grazes and the like are hardly worth mentioning as that happens on any pitch in the world. The problem Widnes will face is when somebody gets a serious leg injury on that pitch. Again they happen anywhere but you can bet your life it'll be blamed on the pitch!

As for Mathers he's better at expressing his feeling wheather that be back slapping, wooping or moaning then he is at playing rugby league!
