Interesting story. It has always been apparent that the "Sporting Village" was actually a commercially motivated enterprise, but the shabby exchange of cash for photo opps, convenient illness and recovery by Milliband, agitation by Prescott as a director of a private limited company (Rovers) with a vested interest in Allam's future investment at Craven Park exacerbates the situation. You could argue that a loan to Prescott's club, Rovers, by Allam, when he is after council support for his latest property development, looks a bit dodgy.
